Contraceptive Methods
Contraception, or also known as birth control , is method or device used to prevent pregnancy. It reduces pregnancy-related morbidity and mortality, reduces the risk of developing certain reproductive cancers, and can be used to treat many menstrual related symptoms and disorders.
Condom
Condoms are a barrier contraceptive made from latex rubber, a synthetic rubber called polyisoprene, a very thin plastic called polyurethane, or a synthetic material called nitrile.
Contraceptive Pill
The pill prevents the ovaries from releasing an egg each month. It thickens the mucus in the neck of the womb, so it is harder for sperm to penetrate the womb and reach an egg.
Contraceptive Injection
It releases the hormone progestogen into the bloodstream and It usually stops menstrual bleeding, so is useful for women who have heavy periods or period pain
